Raw Video: Driver cut out from car after it smashes into building in Newport Beach

Newport Beach – According to Battalion Chief Brian McDonough, a driver in a white coup crashed into an Army & Navy Store located at the 6000 block of West Pacific Coast Highway and 61st Street Wednesday evening.  He was the only person in the car when the crash occurred at 11:45 p.m.  Newport Beach firefighters and paramedics were able to free the passenger who was transported to OC Global Medial Center Trauma Unit in Santa Ana as a trauma patient in serious conditions.

The Orange County Register stated the crash is under investigation and the driver has not been cited as of Thursday morning.
