Raw Video: Nine departments respond to 3-alarm fire on Navarre Beach

July 25–NAVARRE BEACH — Units from at least nine area fire departments responded to a three-alarm house fire on Monday.

Brandi Whitehurst, spokeswoman for Santa Rosa County, said the homeowner called 911 at about 4:45 Monday afternoon to report his house was on fire but he had safely evacuated.

Nobody else had been in the home at the time, according to Whitehurst.

Fire departments from Navarre Beach, Holley-Navarre, West Pensacola, Florosa, Gulf Breeze, Midway, Pace, Fort Walton Beach and Skyline responded to the fire. It had not been extinguished as of 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Navarre Beach lifeguards were also on scene to assist the firefighters with any medical needs that might arise from fighting the fires, according to Whitehurst.

The home is located on the 7000 block of Gulf Boulevard.
