Helmet cam footage of first in fire attack

The Vallejo Firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Tuesday at 11:54 p.m.  The location was the Vallejo Mobile Estates on San Joaquin Drive.  The first arriving units found a fully involved mobile home with immediate exposure threat on both sides.  Crews faced difficulty accessing the mobile home because the carport was collapsed and there was a burning vehicle in the driveway. Crews performed a defensive attack, protecting the adjacent structures and knocking down the fire from the outside. VFD personnel were able to save both neighboring structures from significant damage and they remain inhabitable. It took about 40 minutes to contain the fire.  The involved structure is a total loss and currently under investigation. Both occupants were able to escape unharmed prior to arrival of fire units. One patient was treated at the scene by Medic Ambulance and released.
